Discount on a Domain

Recently we wrote about hosting and obtaining the proper hosting. Hosting is of course just the first piece of the puzzle, while you do need the hosting and a website people need to be able to find you. You do not want to use an IP address, Internet protocol address, when you could actually use a domain. No one is going to remember the numbers to type in to find you if you’re using IP, therefore you obviously need a domain. There are many domains available.

You want to be able to obtain a domain, and of course use a GoDaddy promo code to get the best possible price. This is a code that you use as a coupon and to use a coupon much like a store you enter it at the end of your checkout process. It then recalculates the price and give it a discount. Now you may think that the domains you want are available, however this to interesting things you can do. There are still millions of domains available it just depends on your imagination. Now here’s the first thing you can do, it is as simple as adding a hyphen. That’s right, a hyphen, all you have to do is add that into the domain name especially if you have more than one word in you will now be able to obtain a domain with the that dash in it.

The second thing you can do is not register a new domain to get one at an auction, believe it or not most registrars have auctions. The registrar isn’t selling, or doesn’t own the domain, but individuals do. They own the domains and they do not want to let them go because they think they are valuable but they are not going to use them. Therefore they are willing to sell them to someone else. You never really own a domain you basically lease or rent it for a year. However the person who has it can transfer it to you otherwise you will have to try to get it as soon as it is available and that is hard. So you can go to auction find the domain you want and actually purchase it from someone else. Two great ways to get the domain you want.
